Busy days...

So things have been pretty crazy the last month or more. Karin and I are moving in together at the end of the month, and although our relationship is ready for it, we're not really ready for it. Sounds strange, but it's more that we're not packed, or quite prepared for moving. The living together we're ready for.

So there was some hectic time looking at places and negotiating the terms of the lease, etc... In general that would be enough going on, but it's just one of many things at the moment.

On the work front, I've been working on a project for the past six months or longer, and everything is coming to a head now. Lots of pressure, lots of things going on. I was on SharePoint training last week relating to the project, and have been spending the last month learning everything I could about it, and am going balls out installing, configuring and migrating now. Means a lot of work, and a lot of things going on.

On the disc front, it's the beginning of the season in Burnaby, leaving me with lots of little things that need done, including finishing the process of becoming a society. The BCDSS AGM is coming up, and I have a lot of things to do to get ready for that. I've signed on to be the Tournament Director for a Duck Golf tournament in December, and the Duck Golf series starts in 2 weeks. I'll be moving up a division from Amateur Intermediate to Amateur Advanced after my win at provincials, which means a whole new level of competition. That and the fact that the Duck Golf series this year has expanded from 8 events last year to 12 this year. The downside of the extended schedule is that now the top 6 finishes will count towards the series championship... the benefit being that it will be harder for one person to win 6/12 events than it 4/8.

That might be almost everything that's going on at the moment...

Stayed home...

Talked to a bunch of people today, but for whatever reason didn't tell them that I was home sick today. I slept a ridiculous amount yesterday and today, and was feeling nauseous much of today. Feeling much better as I write this now. I definitely used to be very healthy, rarely getting sick. Not sure if it's working so closely with health professionals, or being close to someone dealing with children on a regular basis or if there's something else.

The other thing is, that if I think I'm sick, I try to stay home. Don't want to get other people sick. And much as I pretty much always have work to do, rarely is it so time sensitive that it can't wait until tomorrow, it just can't do that indefinitely.

I expect to feel fine in the morning and to be at work.
